| Most of the fields I've painted around Cherry Valley and Beaumont have gone to houses. This is characteristic of how things used to look in early summer. It is my favorite season to paint: I love the color and value contrast of naples yellow fields against dark oak trees. And always, the beautiful distant mountain ranges in blue. |
