Set your own date for a private workshop!  Ideal for the intermediate artist, my instruction is tailored to you and your paintings.  Some topics we will cover are:

   *  Locate the center of interest in a plein air scene or still life set up
   *  Consider ways to enhance the focal area through color, value and composition
   *  Simplify!  It may be your favorite spot in the painting, but if it distracts from the center of interest, it has to go!
   *  Choose colors that support the mood you want to convey

In addition, we will identify strengths in your paintings (bring photos or originals), and you will learn how to critique your own work as well as that of others.

Private instruction is usually 6 hours/day, plus 1 hour for lunch.
There are great sites close by for plein air painting, and my studio is large and comfortable for indoor painting.
Excellent lodging and a PGA golf couse are within 4 miles.
